Reportedly, Chinese domestic steel plate prices fall further after a slump last week due to the weak demand and price drop of hot rolled coils (HRC). It is foreseen that the prices are likely to go down further this week.
The quotation for grade Q235B 16-20mm plate made by Shaoguan Steel from a steel plate distributor in Foshan, Guandong Province of South China is at RMB 3,940/ton, down by RMB 60/ton; that from Yingkou Steel in East China, Shanghai is at RMB3, 750/ton, falling by RMB 50/ton; that from JISCO in Southwest China, Sichuan Province is at RMB3, 970/ton, decreasing by RMB 20/ton and that from
North China, Tianjin is at RMB 3,650/ton, declining by RMB 90/ton, all compared to the last trading day with VAT included.
